Irma Diaz Gonzalez joined her husband, Roberto Gonzalez, in forming ETC and has served as its President and CEO since 1987. She studied Business Administration at Black Hawk College in Illinois and the University of Coahuila in Mexico and completed the Executive Education program at Harvard Kennedy School of Government in Cambridge, MA and Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business in Palo Alto, CA.
Mrs. Gonzalez is an experienced leader in business, government, and the non-profit sector. Her experience in workforce services and business savvy have shaped ETC into a top tier workforce company in Houston employing 80+ professionals. ETC has consistently been named as a Top Workplace (voted by employees) by the Houston Chronicle and Houston Business Journal.
She has been heavily involved in leadership roles in the Houston community. She served as the Chairwoman of the Houston Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and currently serves on the boards of the United Way of Greater Houston and Memorial Hermann Children’s Hospital. She also serves on the Amegy Bank of Texas’ Advisory Board.
Mrs. Gonzalez has received numerous honors and recognition. She was named Hispanic Business Woman of the Year by the Houston Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Woman on the Move by Texas Executive Women, 50 Most Influential Women in Houston by Texas Women’s Magazine, and inducted into the Hall of Fame by the Greater Houston Women’s Chamber of Commerce.
