Mr. and Mrs. Gonzalez recently chaired the Power of the Network dinner for A+ Challenge. A+ Challenge is an organization focused on increasing public high school graduation rates. The dinner celebrated the organization’s 15th anniversary and raised about $200,000 in funds for the cause. Over 330 attendees supported A+ Challenge event at the River Oaks Country Club.

A+ Challenge’s goal is to ensure that all public school students graduate high school ready to reach their maximum potential in college, career and civic life. Districts supported by A+ Challenge include Aldine, Alief, Brazosport, Cypress-Fairbanks, Galveston, Goose Creek, Hitchcock, Houston, Humble, KIPP, Pasadena, Sheldon, Spring, Spring Branch, Wharton and YES Prep. Over 90% of the organization’s annual budget goes directly to helping schools.

Mr. and Mrs. Gonzalez have a long history of support for the world of education and care deeply about the future generations of leaders now in school. They have operated charter schools, participated and directed after school programs, lead drop out recovery efforts, and supported programs for at-risk populations.
